Dinard is situated on the north Brittany coast at the mouth of the river Rance. 11 km from Saint Malo, 22 km north from Dinan.
Dinard is a stylish Edwardian resort, famous for its sandy beaches, blue striped changing tents and large villas and casino.
It has 3 beaches - Plage de l'Ecluse or La Grande Plage is the main town beach, borded by large turn of the last century
As well as the beaches and nautical actiities, do visit the nearby old towns such as Dinan and Dol de Bretagne with their half-timbered buildings and cobbled winding streets.
The other two beaches are
Plage de St Enogat - This smaller and slightly isolated beach is situated just outside of Dinard, about a 20 minute walk to St Enogat. It is a great place to go if you're looking for a more private and peaceful day in the sun, here you can relax and enjoy some quiet time.
Plage du Prieure - This beach, about a ten minute walk from the centre of Dinard, is another great spot to kick back and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the tourists centres. There are many trees that give shade to the beach and there are swimming pool-style basins along the beach where you can swim.

The Rance river is a great place for sailing. Boat trips up the rier are popular.
